These magnificent creatures are in peril because of a number of factors, not least longline fishing techiques.
You only have to watch these beasties skimming the surface of the ocean to know that the planet would be a poorer place without them. Let's hope that the world wakes up to their plight before it's too late. That's if it isn't too late already.
