These large parrots, also known as 'bolt cutters' because of the strength of their bite, are common around Sydney. Some people keep them as pets but sticking one of these birds in a cage seems awfully cruel. They're pretty good at destroying vegetation whilst browsing for food.
And their voice can politely be described as 'raucous'.
